He was displaced with others, passed from hand to hand until he reached the Baptist Hospital, repeating the last thing he remembers before the missile struck: his father bringing him a bird and feeding it a pomelo. Then the missile obliterated his father, his bird, his innocent body, his dreams, and his life.
What crime did he commit to have pain as his only companion in this world?
