3:16 PM @belalkh Today, as Syria celebrates its liberation, I reflect on my memories of covering the war and the immense suffering endured by its people. I was a witness to countless massacres against children and civilians in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib, but I also witnessed the unwavering resilience of a nation that never gave up on its dream of freedom.
Through my lens, I documented the destruction and tragedies, but I also captured moments of determination and humanity that survived against all odds. Today, these images are not just painful memories but a testament to the struggle of a people who wrote their history with their blood and hope.
With Syria’s liberation, we stand proud of the sacrifices made by its people, hoping this marks the beginning of a new era of justice, peace, and rebuilding.
