3:28 AM @eye.on.palestine The executive director of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, Jake Wood has announced his resignation amid calls for an independent enquiry into the foundation. In a statement, Wood explains that he will no longer support the foundation’s vision going forward stating, “I am proud of the work I oversaw, including developing a pragmatic plan that could feed hungry people, address security concerns about diversion, and complement the work of longstanding NGOs in Gaza. However, it is clear that it is not possible to implement this plan while also strictly adhering to the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence, which I will not abandon.”
The GHF plan has been widely condemned by Palestinians and activists which have described the initiative as the establishment of concentration camps that only serve US-Israeli interests.
