وسط دوي القصف المدفعي العنيف وتحليق الطائرات فوق رؤوسنا، نعود إلى خطة الطوارئ التي حفظناها عن ظهر قلب: نبحث بين الغرف المتهالكة والجدران المتشققة عن بقعة أكثر أمانًا، ولا نملك إلا دعاء خائف وأمل معلق برحمة الله… يا رب، كن معنا حين يخذلنا كل شيء. Amid the deafening sound of artillery fire and the buzzing of planes overhead, we return to the emergency plan we’ve memorized by heart: searching among crumbling rooms and cracked walls for a safer spot. All we have is a fearful prayer and hope hanging on God’s mercy… O Lord, be with us when everything else fails us.
