أنا فادي الوحيدي. منذ بداية إصابتي وأنا ملقى على ظهري، لا أرى من العالم إلا سقف الغرفة. أكثر من خمسة أشهر وأنا على هذه الحالة، عاجز عن الحركة بسبب الشلل. سافرت إلى مصر، ومكثت فيها شهراً، لكني لم أرَ من مصر شيئاً، فقط جدران الغرفة التي أقمت فيها. واليوم أنا في قطر، أعاني نفس الشيء. حتى عندما ركبت الطائرة، كنت أتمنى أن أرى السماء، أن أرى العالم من فوق. لكن جسدي لم يسعفني. طلبت من أمي أن تصور لي من نافذة الطائرة، لأشاهد جمال السماء، وأشعر للحظة أنني رأيت الدنيا من علٍ، كما كنت أحلم. أكثر من خمسة أشهر من الشلل، من الألم، من الانتظار. أتمنى أن يمنّ الله عليّ بالشفاء، أن أقف مجدداً، أن أرى الحياة كما يراها الآخرون، وأنا على قدمي

Child ”Ali Faraj” is the only survivor of the massacre of his family that took place yesterday in Gaza. The airstrike killed his father and five young siblings. Ali flew to the roof of the neighboring house from the force of the explosion.
