7:00 PM @plestia.alaqad Growing up, I loved being in front of the camera, standing in stadiums, and holding a mic. I was so fascinated by the idea of being on TV that I used to edit my own pictures to make it look like I was on screen or on a billboard.
Little did I know that years later, I actually would be, just not in the way I had imagined.
For the past year and a half, I’ve been reporting, interviewing, writing, and creating to make sure the world doesn’t look away. It’s not how I imagined it, but I’m grateful to use my voice for my country.
