8:10 PM @chalanhamza Just received an email from the executive producer Jacob Basbol in the Danish Broadcasting Cooperation that my work covering the harsh realities in the war in Gaza is nominated for the countries annual tv-awards! Six months of hard work for the Danish national media company documenting hunger, spread of diseases, displacement and showing the hope that lives inside of my people’s hearts despite the suffering, culminated in a 30 minutes long documentary with the title ‘Seven days in Gaza’ . Yesterday I rewatched this documentary thinking how deeply important it is never to forget what happened to the Gazans, now while watching them and my family finally return to their destroyed homes. This documentary is a humble piece of history that will and should never die in our memory. Because forgotten history is doomed to be repeated in the future.
