The deal included the release of four Israeli female captives, who were captured on October 7 during clashes between the resistance and the occupation. Among the prominent prisoners freed in this exchange is Mohammed Al-Arida, one of the heroes of the famous Freedom Tunnel. Al-Arida, from the town of Arraba, south of Jenin, was part of the group that escaped from the highly secure Gilboa Prison in 2021 in an operation that shook Israel’s security system and became a symbol of Palestinian resilience. This exchange stands as one of the greatest achievements of the Palestinian resistance, bringing hope to the families of prisoners who endured years of waiting. It reaffirms that freedom is a right that must be seized through sacrifice and determination.
