These checkpoints, numbering in the hundreds, represent a significant obstacle to the freedom of movement for Palestinians within their own lands, whether in the West Bank or Jerusalem. Today, the Al-Murabba’ checkpoint, located at the entrance of Nablus, was closed, along with all other entrances to the city, following a shooting operation carried out by Palestinians in Qalqilya. Israeli checkpoints have become one of the nightmares haunting Palestinians, especially after October 7th, turning into points of death and execution.
