Israeli occupation forces suppressed a Palestinian march this afternoon near Jabal Sbeih in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, following Friday prayers. The march was held in protest against the continued settlement activities on the mountain’s lands.
The occupation forces used tear gas and rubber-coated metal bullets to disperse the participants, causing several cases of suffocation among citizens, who were treated on-site.
The popular march, which included foreign activists among the protesters, was organized to reject the establishment of a settlement outpost on Jabal Sbeih, which has become a symbol of popular resistance in Beita. The participants chanted national slogans reaffirming their attachment to the land and rejecting the occupation’s settlement policies.
It is worth noting that the town of Beita has witnessed repeated confrontations with occupation forces over the years in defense of its lands. Jabal Sbeih remains one of the key hotspots of ongoing escalation due to repeated settlement attempts. 12:40 AM @m.z.gaza With all kinds of death, they are used by children of women, adults, patients, doctors and journalists, Gaza without food, drink, medicine, homes, hospitals, schools, and an earthquake that hit and not its features, and the world is watching from afar.
