بقلوب مؤمنة بقضاء الله وقدره، أنعي والدي الحبيب الأستاذ القدير حرب خالد شعلان، الذي انتقل إلى رحمة الله تعالى.
كان دائمًا يردد: “الدنيا دار لمن لا دار له، ويفرح بها من لا عقل له.”
وإذ أنني لست موجودًا في مصر الآن، أرجو من أصدقائي الأعزاء هناك أن يذهبوا ويكونوا بجانب والدي في هذه اللحظات، وأن يشاركوا في جنازته، ويمثلوني في وداعه. وجودكم بجانبه سيخفف من حزني ويعني لي الكثير.
اللهم ارحمه واغفر له واجعل قبره روضة من رياض الجنة.

Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un (We belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return)
With deep sorrow and a heavy heart, I announce the passing of my beloved father, Professor Harb Khaled Shalan, who has returned to the mercy of Allah.
He always used to say: “This world is a home for those who have no home, and a joy for those who lack wisdom.”
As I am not currently in Egypt, I kindly ask my dear friends there to stand by my father in these moments, attend his funeral, and represent me in bidding him farewell. Your presence would mean the world to me and ease my pain.
May Allah have mercy on his soul, forgive him, and make his grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise.
Please keep him in your prayers and recite Al-Fatiha for him.
