Despite wearing a press vest, Fadi sustained severe injuries to his neck vertebrae and spinal cord. According to hospital specialists, he urgently requires surgery, and there is a risk of partial paralysis due to the extent of the damage.

While he was sleeping after a long day of covering the news, the shrapnel entered his head, targeting his brain and causing internal bleeding and a coma.
