5:30 PM @mohamed.h.masri From under the rubble of death, the people of Gaza create life! This young man’s name is Mahmoud Khuzaiq, and he is from the northern Gaza Strip. However, he was forced to flee to the central governorate to save himself and his family from the bombing and hunger. Mahmoud now lives in displacement tents in the west of Deir al-Balah city. Mahmoud had just gotten engaged two months before the start of the current aggression on the Gaza Strip, and he had planned to have his wedding on November 15th. However, the Israeli Occupation shattered his happiness. Everything Mahmoud faced did not stop him from living his love and happiness. He and his fiancée decided to get married despite being displaced in tents. His bride wore the authentic Palestinian Thobe, white amidst the blackness of life, and they decided to be each other’s shelter amidst the war’s chaos. Here is Gaza..Gaza that masters the art of living, loves it, pursues it, and takes it from the jaws of death. And I wonder: How such people will be defeated when they continue living despite death? BY @mohamed.h.masri
1:58 PM @saleemaburass The diaper shortage in Gaza is a heartbreaking consequence of the ongoing conflict. Amidst the chaos and violence, it is the children who suffer the most. Mothers and fathers struggle to find diapers for their little ones. The prices of diapers have soared, making them unaffordable for many families. Some parents are forced to use unclean cloth as a makeshift alternative for their babies. Changing a child’s diaper has become a luxury, a choice between basic hygiene and survival. People sell individual diapers on makeshift street stalls for three to five shekels ($1 to $1.50) or entire packs for up to 170 shekels ($46)
They asked me @iamarwadamon to describe the famine to them. This is what I sent through. I am in northern Gaza. I salute him and all the others who refuse to give up, and who have already given so much. It’s the hardest thing in the world to be in the field, filming and reporting on misery and pain and be asked “what’s the point in talking to you” and have to say “I don’t know if there’s any point, all I can do is share your story.” I salute him and others who are trying to persevere as their strength wanes and hunger creeps into their gutsMany of us have become journalists driven by this belief that change will surely come if the world sees it. Change for the better. I know I was definitely driven by that conviction. I was convinced that if people knew about atrocities, about someone else’s pain, and could understand history and its emotional trajectory, action would be taken to ease the pain and change course. I realized early in my career that this was not the case. It was e #photooftheday #reels #video @7eskander_el_kafarna #fyp #غزة_تحت_القصف
