Hind is 6 years old and was in her uncle’s car when Israeli tanks fired on the car killing her relatives including her young cousins, leaving her alive surrounded by their dead bodies. Via @gazangirl Hind survived initially and spent hours on the phone with her mom and emergency services begging to be saved. The Red Crescent tried to reach Hind but they haven’t been heard from since. She described how she was scared, hurt, cold, hungry and thirsty. The phone calls have been played around the world and are the stuff of nightmares and horror films. Hind’s mom said the last thing she heard in the last phone call with her daughter was the door to the car open, then the line cut. The Israeli occupation released a statement that they were not “familiar” with the incident despite their tank fire being heard firing on the car in the emergency calls amidst the shrieks of Hind’s relative Layan who was killed after telling the emergency responder that the Israeli tanks were surrounding their car and firing on them.
