4:05 PM @wizard_bisan1 I grew up believing in the importance of realistic stories and documenting our daily challenges, in bringing about change and completely shaping the world!
I started writing realistic short stories ten years ago! My people were the same heroes of my stories, but today I live with my people in exceptional circumstances!! When I talk to them and listen to their stories, I not only hear about cutting off electricity, blockades on products and trade, unemployment, poverty, and economic and health crises, but I hear about genocide! Yes, genocide... We are placed inside a box that was supposed to be our homeland, as it has been for thousands of years, and we are deprived of food, drink, and medicine, and we are subjected to horrific killing with the latest weapons of the greedy, lying world in which we live.
My role and the role of the rest of the journalists in Gaza is to document our stories and the stories of our people, and your role is to put an end to this genocide.
*Do not despair... Be stronger and demand a ceasefire, you are our only hope.* 8:43 AM @hindkhoudary Today, Ali marks his 34th birthday, but it’s hard to celebrate amidst the heavy losses he endured last year—losing his father, sister, three brothers, and three uncles, along with friends.
He also lost two homes, with all of his memories and belongings.
In the past 92 days, Ali immersed himself in documenting the Gaza genocide, carrying a weight of rage, grief, and frustration. Despite it all, he remains our guardian angel, saying, “You are my kids; I am responsible for you guys” every day.
Ali is an extraordinary father, husband, son, and friend. He’s the kind of person who wouldn’t eat or sleep if you didn’t.
My wish for Ali this year is strength to bear the burden of his losses and pain.
Through tears, laughter, fights, displacement, and navigating ups and downs, we faced numerous obstacles in the past 90 days.
I yearn for a return to a life free from explosions and airstrikes, where we can enjoy our friendship.
May this year bring Ali peace and comfort, sparing him from further loss.
Thanks Ali for everything you did, thanks for being the best friend anyone could have.
We love you!
Pray for Ali, send him love and strength 💕
