4:40 PM @byplestia This is a short poem that I wrote back in 2019 during a “small” escalation that happened on Gaza Strip.. I was trying to express how there is no electricity to charge the phone to look at it and know what time it is so you only look at the sky and the darker it is the more UAVs you’ll see and one second you look at it and the other second you find yourself targeted by a rocket.. I hate how whenever I look back at articles or poems that I wrote, I found them still relatable..
Its been 75 years and 75 days..
For decades now, we Palestinians have been suffering.. Palestinian men, women, children, and babies have been killed.. houses, buildings, mosques, churches, schools, universities, cafes, and restaurants have been demolished.. they’re trying to ethnically cleanse us, they’re trying to erase all our memories by erasing our beloved Gaza strip.. what more can possibly happen? Again and again I’m asking when will this nightmare end??
